Influence of the Ligand Structure of Diaza Crown Ethers on the Complexation of Ag(I) In Acetonitrile
Abstract
The thermodynamic stabilities of the silver ion with some diaza-crown ethers
have been determined conductometrically in acetonitrale as a solvent at different
temperature both the ligand structure and the lagand-solvent interaction influence the
relative stabilities of the complexes. The enthalpy and entropy of complexation were
determined from the temperature dependence of the complexation constants. The
complexation process is enthalpy governed.
