Some Biochemical Changes in Serum of Hemodialysis Patients
Abstract
The present study is concerned with the investigation of the activity of some
enzymes as glutamic oxalacetic transaminase (GOT), aryl-esterase, peroxidase, and
acetyl cholinesterase. The concentration of lipid profile in serum of patients with
chronic renal failure (CRF) treated by hemodialysis also have been measured.
Forty-seven patients with CRF under went hemodialysis and (40) healthy
controls were included in this study.
The results obtained show a significant decrease in the activity of GOT,
arylesterase, peroxidase, acetyl cholinesterase and in the concentration of lipid profile
in serum of CRF patients when compared with control group.
