Lanthanide metal complexes of 1,3,4- thiadiazole ligands

Abstract

Complexes of Y (III), La(III) and Ce(III) with 2,5-bis (1-thiopentane-2-one) –
1,3,4- thiadiazole (TPTD), and 2,5-bis (N, 2-aminopyridyl) –1,3,4- thiadiazole
(APYTD) have been prepared and characterized on the basis of chemical analysis by:
I.R, UV-visible, C.H.N atomic absorption and molar conductivity. All the complexes
have a chemical formula, [M2L2X4]X2(X=Cl)
