Photoreduction of Cd+2 in aqueous TiO2 suspention
الملخص
This paper describes the activity of different crystal forms ofTiO2
catalyst(Anatase,Rutile,Hombikat,DegussaP25 and Melenium) to eliminate the contaminated
Cd(II) from its aqueous solutions by photoreduction process.It was found that the type Degussa
P25 was more efficient than other types.Different parameters were also studied in order to
undersand and predict the kinetic of the photoreduction process.These parameters are initial
Cd(II)ions concentration,TiO2 loading,solution pH and the presence of hydrogen peroxide.
The kinetic studies of these systems indicate that the photoreduction process is first order
under the optimum conditions employed.
