The effect of sulfur ratios and accelerators in the presence of recycled rubber ratios on the physical and mechanical properties of tire slurries

Abstract

Research is concentrated on the study of the effect of changing ratios of the sulfur and
accelerators simultaneously at constant ratios of sulfur and accelerators simultaneously at constant
ratios of reclaimed rubber.It was found that the simultaneous reduction of sulfur and accelerators
ratios improve the mechanical and physical properties of the recipes through the reduction of cure
rate. This found in the increase in abrasion resistance ,tensile strength ,elongation and modulus and
the decrease in hardness. The study was indicated that the best optimum ratios of sulfur and
accelerators are: (1.5) phr for sulfur and (0.188) phr for (OBTS) in (EGI181/1)recipe. (1.185) phr
for sulfur and (0.015) phr for OBTS in TBB2 recipe. (1.306) phr for sulfur and (0.8790) phr for
CBSand (0.087) phr for DPG in (BTH16) recipe.(1.700) phr for sulfur and (0.700) phr for OBTS in
(BDG169) recipe. (1.462) phr for sulfur and (1.462) phr for OBTS in (BAR63) recipe.
