Abstract

Thio Bis-N, N substituted phthaldicarboximides were synthesized from the reaction
of phthalic anhydride with diamines (aliphatic and aromatic) in hot acetic acid. The
products were treated with phosphorous pentasulphide N-substituted Phthalimidines
were prepared by the reduction of N,N substituted phthaldicarboximide with zinc dust
and hydrochloric acid in ether.
While isoimides was synthesis through the reaction of phthalic anhydride with
diamines in the presence of trifloroacetic acid.
